With a PCIe Gen 2.0 x 2 slot, the TS-853DU-RP provides flexibility in extending NAS functionality, allowing you to install various cards for extra network ports, M.2 SSD caching/tiering, or Wi-Fi connectivity. To optimize system performance, install a QNAP QM2 card to add M.2 SATA or NVMe SSD caching/10GbE connectivity and use with Qtier tiered storage for optimal system performance. Wireless connectivity can be added by installing a QNAP QWA-AC2600. A QXG-10GbE/5GbE network card adds extra high-speed network ports. Alternatively, you can add an affordable QNAP QNA-UC5G1T USB 3.2 Gen 1 to 5GbE adapter to enjoy higher network speeds or boost the USB connectivity by installing a USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) card.
